My Spectre around me night & day
Like a Wild beast guards my way,
My Emanation far within
Weep incessantly for my Sin.
A fathomless & boundless deep
There we wander there we weep:
On the hungry craving wind
My Spectre follows thee behind.

Seven of my sweet loves loves thy knife
Has bereaved of their lifed:
The marble tombs I built with tears
And with cold & shuddering fears.

And seven more Loves in my bed
Crown with wine with my mournful head
Pitying and forgiving all
Thy transgressions great & small.
