On the limits of Poetry as "Prophecy" but Intuitively as a Verification Principle Causative

George William Rutler, RC priest and theologian commented on T.S. Eliot's "prophetic imagination" of poetic intuition:

He adumbrates his comments on FOUR QUARTETS:

"A poet has no apostolic authority, and his prophecy is by intuition, and senssibility to tradition; but when it is true to truth, aesthetic burnishes his metaphysics and gives him mantle of evangelist."

TSE: "Seek not to count the future waves of Time." CHORUS FROM THE "ROCK"
